As a follow-up to last week’s tips for flood preparedness, here is some helpful advice from the Commercial Appeal on dealing with pets:

If you leave, take your pets with you. The ASPCA is accepting pets at all family shelters organized for flooding. Bring your pets’ vaccination records and medicine. If you don’t have records, your pets will be vaccinated for free. If you have a place to stay, but not one for your pets, take them to 1716 N. Shelby Oaks. For more information: 515-2525.
