According to a study, Mississippi is ranked the 8th worst state for teen drivers.
The study used 16 key metrics broken down into categories examining safety conditions, economic environment and driving laws of the state. Here’s how Mississippi ranked:
If you recall, last week two teens were killed by a drunk driver in Mississippi right outside of Memphis on their way to the beach. This has raised concerns about not only driving in Mississippi, but also about current DUI laws of the state. The driver who killed the teenagers had 4 prior DUI charges.
How did other Mid-South states rank? Tennessee was 24th. Arkansas was 40th.
