Memphis TN Dangerous Drug Lawyer Now Accepting Fresenius Dialysis Cases

Memphis, TN, 8/23/2012 — As of August 23, 2012, Tennessee personal injury attorneys Darrell Castle & Associates PLLC are seeking personal injury cases involving Fresenius dialysis clinics and the dialysis drug Granuflo. Developed by Fresenius and used in dialysis worldwide, Granuflo has been linked to cardiac arrest, stroke, and death.

Sudden cardiac arrest is the leading cause of death for dialysis patients. Fresenius memos confirm Granuflo use is associated with increased serum bicarbonate levels and alkalosis, as well as the increased possibility of cardiopulmonary arrests. Alkalosis and cardiac events can lead to stroke and sudden death.

Fresenius Medical Care is the largest dialysis company in the United States and the world. It both creates dialysis medication and provides dialysis services in thousands of clinics nationwide. Internal memos suggest the company knew its dialysis concentrate product greatly increases the risk of heart attack and death.

According to the memos, when Fresenius executives discovered the health risks associated with their dialysis concentrate, they made the information available only to their own physicians and clinics. They chose not to inform the FDA or other physicians and clinics using the product.

“This company apparently knew their product was killing people and didn’t warn the public,” says Memphis dangerous drug attorney Darrell Castle. “If that’s true, it’s an assault on patients around the world and their loved ones who are left to mourn them. The number of people potentially affected is unspeakably sad and angering.”

Castle’s Memphis-based attorneys represent drug injury clients from the Mid-South region and the state of Tennessee. Their experience in dangerous drug lawsuits includes Pradaxa, Darvocet, Tylenol, Actos, Yaz, and more.

Patients or loved ones who have suffered serious injury after treatment at a Fresenius  or other dialysis clinic may be entitled to compensation. Darrell Castle & Associates is accepting cases in which patients who received dialysis in 2009 or later had a cardiac event or stroke within 72 hours of dialysis.

Prospective clients can receive a free case evaluation or more information by filling out a short contact form or contacting Ginger Murchison at 901-327-1212.
