As a lawyer Tennessee trusts, I am offering a free legal consultation to any young person harmed by JUUL e-cigarettes.

I have been practicing law in Tennessee for over thirty years. And I have never seen an epidemic among
Tennessee’s youth quite as shocking as that of the JUUL e-cigarette. This is why I am currently taking on cases for a Tennessee JUUL lawsuit; someone has got to stand up for our young people against these companies who would like to see them become customers for life.

JUUL e-cigarette use is skyrocketing among teens.

E-cigarette use increased enormously from 2017 to 2018: 48% among middle school students and 78% among high school students. This is mainly because JUUL marketed their e-cigarettes to children on social media, particularly high school students.

The JUUL e-cigarette, or “vape,” is made by a company called JUUL Labs, based in San Francisco. It looks similar to a USB drive and works by vaporizing a liquid containing nicotine through “pods.” These JUULpods include flavors like mango, creme, and mint. According to this New York Times article, more than three million middle and high school students reported using e-cigarettes in 2017, with about one-third saying the flavors were a big factor in their choice.

What’s worse, JUULpods are much stronger than regular cigarettes. According to the Surgeon General of the United States, “All JUUL e-cigarettes have a high level of nicotine. A typical JUUL cartridge, or ‘pod,’ contains about as much nicotine as a pack of 20 regular cigarettes… This is of particular concern for young people, because it could make it easier for them to initiate the use of nicotine through these products and also could make it easier to progress to regular e-cigarette use and nicotine dependence.”
