As with many legal questions I answer, “it depends.” One question every dog bite case begins with is whether or not the dog owner had any reason to predict his or her dog would’ve attacked the victim. Does the dog have a history of aggression? Has the dog attacked someone before? Tennessee has relatively complex dog bite laws.
