Great conversations always arise from this time, and I want to share some of the conversation with you. That’s why you can expect a weekly “James Hour Conversation” post in which I discuss some hot-button issues in the community and nation. Ending night time sporting events is not the solution to curb youth violence in Memphis By: Darrell Castle This past Friday after a high school football game at Central High School in Memphis, a mob of teens ran the streets, damaging cars and attacking innocent people. This sparked a proposal by Mayor AC Wharton – stop having Friday night football games and instead move them to the day time either on Friday or Saturday. I understand the mayor’s struggles and he’s had a lot to deal with this year – it’s an impossible job right now. But, this seems to be a cowardly solution (not really a solution at all) instead of confronting the problem head on. Friday night lights

I’m an attorney licensed to practice law in the state of Tennessee and on this video today, we’re talking about dog bites/dog attacks/dog-inflicted injuries. What is the best way to avoid a dog-inflicted injury? Well, it’s to be safe around dogs, teach your children to be safe and just to act responsibly and in a common sense manner. Teach your children not to stare at dogs or look directly at them or to bother
Kids and product liability Three New York children were injured yesterday as the bounce house they were playing in took flight. With strong winds, the plastic stakes used to hold down the inflatable house didn’t stand a chance. When the house took flight, the children went with it. Two kids fell from as high as 15-20 feet. A witness who called 911 when the incident happened claimed the bounce house owner did everything correctly when setting up the inflatable toy. Officials claim the inflatable house was
Have you been injured on the job? If so, you may be entitled to worker’s compensation. Worker’s compensation is a type of insurance available to employees of a company when they’re injured on the job. It can include wage replacement for missed days of work, or medical care expenses resulting from the injury. Are there specific types of injures that worker’s comp covers? Not necessarily. If you think you may be denied compensation because of your unique situation, this woman’s case may change your mind: Laura O’Rourke was stabbed multiple times in the throat and chest by her son.
