RED ALERT! Contact a bankruptcy attorney now!

You’ll never get a notification like that telling you it’s time to file for bankruptcy. However, there are signs you can look for that WILL alert you that it’s time to think about contacting a bankruptcy attorney.

Red Alert Signs

Again, no “red alert” will notify you that it’s time, but these signs SHOULD be treated as “red alerts” when they occur.

1. Your home is about to be foreclosed on.
2. Your car is about to be repossessed.
3. Your wages are about to be garnished.

If one – or all – of those three things happen to you, contact a bankruptcy attorney IMMEDIATELY.

You don’t have to lose your home. You don’t have to lose your car. You don’t have to lose the first 25% of your wages. You can stop all of that through a bankruptcy and get out of debt.

Orange Alert Signs

These signs aren’t as severe as the red ones mentioned above, but they are just as important. And if they aren’t handled ASAP, they can quickly turn into red alerts.

1. You fall behind on your mortgage.
2. You miss a car payment.
3. You’re in high credit card debt.
4. You can’t pay your medical bills.
5. You fall behind on ANY of your bills.
6. You have mounting debt you just CAN’T pay.

Why bankruptcy?

Living in uncontrollable debt isn’t fun. The stress and worry about how you’re going to pay your bills is draining. The inability to make ends meet from week to week isn’t healthy. When you call our bankruptcy law firm Memphis, TN families place their trust in, our knowledgeable lawyers can explain to you the bankruptcy process and answer any questions you might have.

By all means, if changing small spending and saving habits can get you out of debt and back to paying your bills on time, then go for it. But for many of you, those steps won’t even touch the surface of your financial struggles.

Bankruptcy can help you though.

By filing for bankruptcy, you can discharge your unsecured debt – debt not backed by collateral – without making any payments towards the debt through a Chapter 7. Or, you can lump your debts into an AFFORDABLE 3-5 year repayment plan through a Chapter 13.

Each chapter comes with its own benefits and qualifications. A Chapter 7 is quicker while a Chapter 13 allows you to keep your house and car. An experienced bankruptcy attorney can further explain.
