Metal medical device replacements have come with complications

Stryker and Depuy Orthopedics are two separate medical replacement device companies.
These two companies proposed and promoted an alternative to the traditional hip replacements – metal replacements. They promoted the metal replacements as a longer-lasting option.
However, their metal knee and hip replacements weren’t adequately tested before being released to the market and have been linked to many problems.
This has led to lawsuits against Depuy Orthopedics and Stryker claiming their products are defective.
