JUUL Vape Lawyer TN Trusts: JUUL Vape Pens Are Killing Our Teens

As a JUUL vape lawyer TN trusts, I cannot emphasize enough how bad the teen vaping epidemic has become. According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, more than 3.5 million middle and high school students used e-cigarettes in 2018.

In addition to teen addiction, the most troubling part of this vaping epidemic is that people are dying. To date, seven people have died from lung injuries caused by vaping, and another 530 have been hospitalized.

The bottom line is this: TN youth are getting sick and injured by JUUL e-cigarettes while JUUL Labs makes an enormous profit. This is the outrage I am fighting against. And it’s why I’m offering a free legal consultation to anyone who has been harmed by JUUL e-cigarette vapes.

Why is the teen vaping epidemic so bad?

The answer is simple but infuriating: JUUL marketed their e-cigarettes to children on social media.

JUUL Labs, the company behind JUUL e-cigarettes, claims to have an adult-only stance toward their products. But Stanford researchers conclude that their marketing does not line up with that claim. As reported by the CDC, over 18 million high school and middle school students were exposed to e-cigarette ads in 2014, including ads on Instagram, Facebook, and Twitter featuring young people vaping.

JUULpods, which contain as much nicotine as a pack of 20 cigarettes, were marketed primarily to young people. In one CDC survey, more than a third of minors between 6th and 12th grade cited flavors such as chocolate, candy, mint, and fruit as their reason for trying e-cigarettes.

In addition to their youth-targeted marketing, a few other factors have contributed to JUUL’s extreme popularity among teens:

  • It’s discreet. The vapor from JUULpods doesn’t smell like tobacco or smoke. JUUL’s design also looks more like a USB drive or electronic device than a traditional e-cigarette. This makes it easy for youth to hide it from teachers, parents, or other people in a position of authority.
  • It’s cheap. A “starter kit,” which includes an e-cigarette device, USB charger, and four JUULpods costs $50. Additional packs of four JUULpods are $21 each.
  • It comes in flavors young people find appealing. JUUL’s current flavor offerings include mint, mango, creme, cucumber, menthol, fruit, classic tobacco, and Virginia tobacco.

Unfortunately, schools are trying and failing to curb vaping in teens who say they can’t stop even when they try.
