TN Teen JUUL vaping lawyer
Fighting against e-cigratte companies, I’m offering a free legal consultation to anyone who has been harmed by JUUL e-cigarettes.
The TN Teen JUUL vaping epidemic is worse than ever. Dozens of young Tennesseans have been harmed by e-cigarettes, including this Nashville teen who almost died from vaping.
Dozens of deaths and thousands of cases of lung injuries have caused the the CDC to classify a new lung disease: EVALI, which stands for “e-cigarette or vaping product use-associated lung injury.” The problem has gotten so bad that the American Medical Association has asked the White House to clear the market of all e-cigarettes.
At the center of the epidemic is the most popular brand of e-cigarettes in America: JUUL. And my firm, Darrell Castle & Associates, PLLC, has a plan to hold them accountable.
TN teens are addicted to vaping at alarming rates.
So how do JUUL e-cigarettes get so many kids addicted? The answer is simple but heartbreaking: JUUL marketed their e-cigarettes to children on social media.
JUUL devices are re-usable vapes that deliver nicotine through flavored “pods.” JUULpods include flavors like mango, creme, and mint and were marketed primarily to young people, particularly high school students.
According to a New York Times article, more than three million middle and high school students reported using e-cigarettes in 2017, with about one-third saying the flavors were a big factor in their choice. Tragically, many of these young people didn’t understand that JUUL products always contain nicotine.
Even more atrocious, a subcommittee of the FDA found that a JUUL representative (speaking directly to children in school) told kids that JUUL products are “99% safer” than cigarettes, “much safer” than cigarettes, “totally safe,” and “a safer alternative than smoking cigarettes.”
Unfortunately, schools are trying and failing to curb vaping in teens who say they can’t stop even when they try. This is the outrage I am fighting against. JUUL products are harming, and even killing, the children of Tennessee. If you or your family has been affected, you deserve justice.
